Will Fernandez Art features impressionist paintings in acrylic on canvas of our local mountain landscape as well as Key West and ocean themed scenery. Fernandez's paintings show unique perspectives with a bold use of light and shadows. He also makes sculptures, mostly in raku fired clay as well as wood, stone and papier mache. His sculptures depict mainly the human form and animals of land and sea. They are known for their  movement and humor. 

During the Studio Tour, Fernandez will demonstrate the raku firing process at his studio. Be prepared to stand back and see the glowing hot kiln open and the red hot pieces placed in the sawdust to then be smothered. When they are recovered you will see the metallic bronze like result that the raku technique is famous for. We are located in downtown Sparta, walking distance from Main Street.

The firing will take place outside, weather permitting. Seating available.
